Westport Food Festival, 21st - 23rd Sept.
13 August 2012
The second Westport Food Festival takes place from 21st-23rd September and today we unveiled the festival programme with the first ever music video used to promote a festival worldwide that 'stars' the festival participants. The link below shows Food Festival Food!, our version of Food Glorious Food from the movie Oliver!
The song is sung and performed by the ‘stars’ of the Westport Food Festival in a variety of famous Westport locations. The cast includes: beekeepers; chefs; a cheese maker; fish monger; baker; hummus and tapenade maker; barman; restaurant owner, hotel & marketing managers and waiting staff. Forming a thread throughout the performance are members of Westport’s historic town band including jazz musician and Westport legend Larry Hingerton plus six Westport children in their screen debuts.
