There is great emphasis placed on the healthy aspect of food here in Casey’s of Baltimore. Their organic garden supplies fresh root veggies and Spring water is supplied from a deep spring well on the hotel grounds.
Your activity choices
Trips to Cape Clear (40 mins ferry crossing from Baltimore) and Sherkin Island (10 minutes ferry crossing from Baltimore) can be arranged at the hotel. These islands are well worth a visit, meet the natives and enjoy the spectacular scenery
Walking - Lough Hyne
Lough Hyne, 10km from Casey’s, is Ireland’s only Marine Nature Reserve and is a fascinating place to visit. A 5km loop walk starting at the lake takes you past a prehistoric ringfort, gives spectacular Atlantic Ocean views, descends to Barlogue pier at the sea-entrance to the lake and finally follows the lakeshore back to the starting point. There are longer walks too taking in more of the dazzling West Cork coast and landscape.
